0151: Live

Last night I went to a local musical, and during a serious part of the production, a prop fell down. There was scattered laughter, but a quick recovery and everyone soon was back in the moment. I have seen that a few times, a situation that would completely distract when watching a movie adds to a live performance. It reminds us that they are human and we can’t wait to see how they improvise. Ella Fitzgerald may be more well know for her on-the-spot version of “Mack the Knife” than her presidential medals.
